Due to no spectators allowed at race meetings due to COVID-19 restrictions, competition organisers had to get creative.
They decided to hold the competition online and were inundated with entries in all categories.
Competition organiser, Sharon Lenton from Thoroughbred Events Australia immediately jumped at the opportunity to hold the online Fashions on the Field after being contacted by the Wellington Race Club
"I'm very fond of Wellington and I've been going (to the Boot racing carnival) for about five years," Ms Lenton told the Wellington Times in March.
The judges awarded Kate Lynch the best dressed touch of green winner as her outfit epitomises country racing fashion.
According to the This was a unanimous decision. Not only racewear appropriate (& tagged correctly) but her love for racing shines through.
Best Dressed Local Woman went to Emma Nixon from Dubbo, while Tommy Jeffs won Best Dressed Stallion.
Hayley Martell won Best Dressed Filly and Best Dressed Woman went to Doris Jovic.
