Willow Scott says she was so little when she started dancing she can't even remember it. The nine-year-old is one of the many dancers in the Dubbo Eisteddfod. Including the group dances, Willow is performing 16 routines in front of adjudicator Janessa Dufty. Thankfully, the young performer says she finds dancing "really fun". Her favourite style is modern because "it's really emotional and you get to show lots of feeling". It's no wonder then that of the 16 dances she'll be doing at the eisteddfod, her modern solo is the one she was most looking forward to doing. ALSO MAKING NEWS: Although she gets nervous before heading onto the stage, Willow has a simple thing she does to calm her nerves. "I think about all the happy things," she said. The competition was fierce in the Restricted Jazz Solo for 9 and 10-year-olds. First place went to Isabel Smith, second was Emily George, Willow received third and highly commended was given to Dekoda-Lea Walsh, Jemima Tink and Grace Murphy.
