Mumbil's Music and Markets Festival well attended, photos

Organised by the Mumbil Advancement Association Inc, who could not have asked for a more perfect day as the sun shone over a crowd of about 1000 people who travelled from as far as Dubbo, Bathurst, Orange and Gilgandra to attend the event.

But there was also plenty of local faces among the crowd too, with residents of Wellington, Mumbil and Stuart Town attending.

The huge variety among the stall holders kept the crowd roving throughout the day, with pickles, succulents, plants, pyjamas, clothing, trinkets and treasures, fresh produce, speciality jewellery and much more on offer.

The Red Cross ladies from Wellington provided delicious Devonshire teas for the visitors.

The music was fantastic with a good mix by Australian Country Music Hall of Fame inductee, Don Costa interspersed with popular Tracy Charman and Mick Austin.

International entertainer Simon Busmann, who has performed at the Sydney Opera House, also wowed the crowd.

There was plenty for the young ones to enjoy, with trike rides running throughout the day and kids continuously hopping aboard the mini train.

Organisers said the feedback across the board was positive, with many attendees happy with the great atmosphere plus how friendly and helpful everyone was.

Overall, the organisers said it was delightful first-time event after the much needed rain and thanked all involved for their help and assistance in making the day a great success.
