Dubbo Regional Council meeting: Four councillors absent at March committees

Councillors Ben Shields, Vicki Etheridge, David Grant and Kevin Parker were absent from the committee meetings.

Due to the lack of numbers, a decision was not made on a plan to rezone land for Camp Road. A member of the community wants to change the zoning from tourist land into RU2 rural landscape.

Not all agree with the change, however, it lead to no result.

Councillor John Ryan was unable to be part of the decision, leaving the councillors without the adequate numbers to vote.

An agenda item on CCTV cameras in Wellington was also deferred until the next meeting - this time by choice - because of the absent councillors.

Council is considering extending the town's security cameras to cover more of the CBD.
