Minister for Police and Emergency Services David Elliott and Dubbo MP Dugald Saunders handed over the keys to the new tanker on Wednesday, October 30.
"With bushfires already having devastated parts of Northern NSW, it is crucial we equip our volunteer firefighters with the best equipment," Mr Elliott said.
Mr Saunders said the new truck would put local volunteers ahead of the game when it comes to managing bushfires.
"I'm always amazed by the skill and dedication of our volunteer firefighters and this vehicle will ensure they can continue their vital work," Mr Saunders said.
