Students and staff at Wellington High School were spoilt for choice on Friday when hospitality students prepared their very own meals for crowds to savour.

The school's food truck challenge was held by the Year 9 and 10 students, with meals influenced by popular global inspired dishes.
Tacos, cookies, pizza, desserts and fries were created by the students who sold them during Friday's lunch break and all sold out.

In a Masterchef inspired cook off, the public were asked to vote on which dish they enjoyed the most.
Wellington High hospitality teacher Alicia Stevenson said the students have shown great initiative in the kitchen.

"They're really motivated and engaged," Ms Stevenson added.
She said the event was a great opportunity for students to shine.
"It's so great for their confidence, they walk with their heads held high in their chefs uniform and I find it so rewarding as their teacher," Ms Stevenson explained.
"This project is also great for the Indigenous students who are so engaged with the project."
