The volunteers are a group of local ladies who assist the Maranatha House staff and residents when needed, including activities and outings. The also help residents with shopping.
The Wellington Men's Shed made both items and they were purchased by the Maranatha House volunteer committee.
Both organisations visited Maranatha House on July 30 for a special afternoon to present the items.
The Maranatha volunteers said they were pleased to not only at last have a refurbished chapel but to supply the items which will be used in the same place.
The volunteers were also recently presented with a $5000 cheque from Elaine Wykes on behalf of the Wellington Vintage Fair from 1994 to 2016.
Maranatha volunteer member Maragret Gasnick said they were "overwhelmed" with the donation and the committee would have many ideas and meetings on how to best use this money.
