The annual expo was held at the Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre from May 17-18.
Ebony Colliss and her mother, Cherie, attended the expo on the Friday.
She received an Indigenous scholarship to attend SCEGGS in Darlinghurst next year.
The Sydney school offers boarding at St Vincent's, which is why the mother and daughter decided to attend the expo and hear about the options available to them.

While there, they spoke to St Vincent's principal Anne Fry and director of boarding Maryanne O'Donoghue.
Ebony said she was excited to go to boarding school in 2020 when to begin Year 7, although she would miss her mum.
Ms Colliss, from Wellington, said she too would miss 11-year-old Ebony while she was at boarding school.
After applying to attend SCEGGS, which included Ebony writing an essay and letter, the family found out she was successful which Ms Colliss said was a surprise but they were also very happy.
