Lousick was a genuine star for the maroon and whites last winter, scorching his rivals on his way to 14 tries in 16 games.
Speed, strength and that uncanny knack of producing the seemingly unimaginable, the 20-year-old fullback is one to watch.
But, if all goes to plan for the Group 11 representative, you’ll have to watch him in Queensland in 2019.
Lousick is currently trialing with Intrust Super Cup juggernaut Redcliffe Dolphins.
He’s moved to Queensland and is living with fellow Wellington under 18s premiership winner Kotoni Staggs, himself training with the Brisbane Broncos this pre-season.
Lousick is a member of the Dolphins 40-man pre-season squad and hopes to perform well come trials in six weeks as he looks to “further my career and better myself as a player”.
“We’ll see how far we can go,” Lousick said.
“My goal is to make the top squad in Q-Cup and hopefully go on further, keep chasing that dream.
“I’m starting at the bottom but the hope is to make it.”
Lousick’s move to Queensland has been in the works for three months, but he officially got the tick of approval to venture north of the boarder to train with the Dolphins just before Christmas.

He’s now hitting the training paddock with his potential club three times a week.
The move has been as unnerving as it has exciting.
“It was (a little daunting) at the start, but I’m getting to know the boys more now so it’s getting easier,” Lousick added.
“It’s crazy up here, what the fitness is like. It’s another few levels above what I’m used to at home. The intensity is great.
“It’s full-on, but it’s what I want to do.”
Lousick is unsure if he’ll make the final Dolphins squad, though, especially given the quality the Intrust Super Cup defending champions boast.
Still, he’s confident the experience he’s jumped at will serve him well in the long run.
“That’s what I’ve said to myself; this is a good experience and huge learning curve for me. It’s going to make me a better player, learning off so many different people,” he added.
“It’d mean the world to make the cut. It’d be another goal ticked off the list. It’s what I’ve come up here to do.”
