Nominations for the 2020 Hidden Treasures Honour Roll are now open and Minister for Agriculture and Western NSW Adam Marshall encouraged people to nominate women who had gone above and beyond in their local community.
"Make no mistake, volunteers are heroes in the bush and we need you to tell us about the incredible women in your community and the stories of their tireless work and achievements," Mr Marshall said.
"In times of drought, devastating bushfires and now the COVID-19 pandemic, female volunteers have made invaluable contributions and the annual Hidden Treasures Honour Roll celebrates that."
The opening of nominations coincides with National Volunteer Week and Minister for Mental Health, Regional Youth and Women Bronnie Taylor said it was a chance to reflect on the women who volunteer in our communities.
"Women and girls play a pivotal role in our regions all year round, with many generously donating their time to make life better for others," Mrs Taylor said.
"The Honour Roll is a fantastic way of recognising the incredible impact they have and to thank them for their selfless contributions."

Minister for Families, Communities and Disability Services Gareth Ward said there had never been a better time to acknowledge the contribution of volunteers.
"So many volunteers have stood tall during these testing times over the last twelve months and it's important to recognise their selfless contribution and their countless hours of service," Mr Ward said.
