Just before 1pm on Sunday, April 19, officers attached to the Central North Police District were patrolling the Kamilaroi Highway, when they stopped a vehicle at Brewarrina.
Officers spoke with the 41-year-old female driver who could not provide a reasonable excuse for having left her home.
Police will allege the woman had camping equipment in her vehicle.
She was issued infringement notices for defected tyres, not obey police direction, exceed speed more than 20km/h, and failing to comply with COVID-19 restrictions to stay at home.
The fine for flouting COVID-19 legislation and leaving home without good reason is $1000.
