The Stuart Town Anzac day committee have made the difficult decision to announce the cancellation of the 2020 commemorative services,

In a press release sent to the Wellington Times on March 23, the committee stated that the health, safety and welfare of the community and veterans is paramount during the coronavirus pandemic.
"After seeking advice from NSW Health, the committee feel that this decision is in the best interest of the public's health,' the statement said.
"The committee will ensure that the flag is raised to half mast as a sign of respect to the fallen.
"The Stuart Town community are encouraged to stop by the memorial gates, place a poppy, or flowers and observe a minute silence on the day."
The media release went on to say that while it is a regretful decision, the committee have commenced planning for the 2021 service.
