The Wirjadjuri woman has been selected to play in the first Group 11 Indigenous All Stars league tag side in April.
Stanley said she was very proud to be able to represent her culture.
"It's the first Indigenous game, so it's quite an honour to be a part of the first one...," she explained.
Stanley said it will be nice to play with some of her Wiradjuri Goannas teammates as well as Jasmine Daley, Sarah-May Bryce and Jacyntah Powell who also hail from Wellington.
"It's a great bunch of girls and I'm pretty excited to play alongside them again," she said.
The league tag team had their first training session on Saturday, with more to come in the lead up the match against Group 10 during the blockbuster All Stars day at Cowra on April 18.
Stanley said she was also excited to be a part of the all-female coaching staff.
The team will be coached by former Group 11 League Tag Player of the Year with CYMS, Kaitlyn Mason.
Amy Townsend has been named manager while Western Rams coach Jess Skinner, Lea Clarke and Wellington's Julie Blackhall are trainers and the latter will double-up as the strapper.
"That's another thing I'm really proud of, it's all women so we're all there to boost one another up," Stanley said.
While the All Stars game is still a while away, Stanley will be surely kept busy with training, playing for the Wellington Cowgirls league tag side and in the Ella Sevens rugby tournament at Dubbo this weekend.
Stanley said with Wellington legend Mick Peachey coaching the Cowgirls league tag side, he has been able to not only strengthen their numbers, but their game as well.
But while her Sunday's will be dedicated to league with the Cowgirls, Stanley will be giving it her all on Saturday's playing in the women's Wellington Redbacks union side.
She has also put her hand up to coach one of the Wellington Cowboys junior league tag girls team, which will commence in April.
Stanley hopes that by both playing and coaching this season she can be a good role model for her young daughter.
"I really love that she gets involved and she comes to most of my training. It's a good pathway just to teach her about keeping fit and staying active with football," she explained.
"I feel like there wasn't a lot (of league tag) around when I was younger so I'm loving all the groups that are being brought out now, that the younger ones can look up to."
It will be Stanley's first time coaching, but is hopeful she can impart some of her footy wisdom.
