Clean Up Australia Day began 30 years ago as a way to gather people together to clean up and preserve the environment.
This year, volunteers can join the Western Paddlers and the Wellington Progress and Action group and Dubbo Regional Council to clean up the town.
They are seeking volunteers to work along the Macquarie and Bell Rivers including Duke of Wellington Bridge (low level) area, John Oxley Park and Thornton Street boat ramp.
Registration will be 8.30am at John Oxley Park.
Council's manager operations Craig Arms said Clean Up Australia Day had become an important national event that allowed communities to get involved and make a difference.
