The event was scheduled to be held on Sunday at Centennial Park in Wellington, but due to the smog organisers made the decision that morning to postpone it.
The Central West Junior Rugby trials have now been rescheduled for the new year.
Rep co-ordinator Jason Blake said the decision was made due to health concerns for the children.

All teams will regather at Rygate Oval on the first and third Sunday in February 2020.
The rescheduled event will commence at 8:30am with registrations for a 9am start.
On Monday, December 9 the numerical air quality rating for the central tablelands region was 1294 which ranks as 'hazardous' on the NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment (DPIE) website.
