Students from across the central west competed in the competition on November 21.
There were two competitions, one front of house and the other back of house.
Industry experts travelled from Wollongong and Griffith to judge the competition together with Wellington High School teacher Alicia Stevenson.
Competitors were judged on their hygiene and safety, culinary and cooking techniques, food presentation, time management and organisation just to name a few.
Ms Stevenson said it was a great opportunity for both education sectors to come together to compete in the challenge.
"It really does give students the chance to demonstrate the level of skill and techniques involved in cooking a three-course meal," she said.
"A big pat on the back to the teachers, it takes several weeks to train and prepare these students for competitions like this."
Ms Stevenson said as a teacher in Wellington, she believes it is important to provide all students with opportunities like the Worldskills Competition.
"And to explicitly teach these students these skills to a high standard to better prepare them for possible future pathways, particularly as there is a job shortage in the hospitality industry," she added.
