Since 1988, Terry has been involved with NSW Ambulance as a volunteer officer and recently he was presented with a document recognising his service.

Terry has volunteered over 6000 hours of his time to the community by attending Wellington Ambulance Station for four hours each Tuesday night.

The dedicated volunteer has been called out to cases outside of this time, often from home or work, to attend emergency jobs.

His support to the paramedics of Wellington is honourable.

Terry has met all mandatory training and assessments on a year to year basis and prides himself on learning and being up to date to ensure continuity of care.

In 2014, Terry was named Wellington's Citizen of the Year.

As well as a volunteer officer with NSW Ambulance, Terry operates as a retained fire fighter, where he again assists in emergency jobs.

Staff at Wellington Ambulance Station said Terry is a very important member of the team and his years of service and support he provides is invaluable.

His commitment to the community of Wellington and the emphasis he puts on being community minded and showing spirit is admirable.
