The Wellington Caves will play host to 'Threatened Species Day' with a range of activities held throughout the day.
As well as the regular cave tour participants will look at birds in in the area and take a woodland walk to see the Grassy Box Woodland which is an Endangered Ecological Community. The Cathedral tour will have a focus on our unique cave fauna. The day begins 8am. Some fees apply.
- Piano Recital:
Dubbo, September 6.
American pianist Kenneth Broberg will conduct a piano recital at the Macquarie Conservatorium starting 7:30pm. Broberg has performed recitals around the world, and appeared as concerto soloist with the Royal Philharmonic, Minnesota, Sydney Symphony, Seattle Symphony and many more.
Ticket cost for an adult is $29. He will also hold a masterclass at the Macquarie Conservatorium on September 7 at 11am. Members of the public are welcome to attend as observers. All masterclass tickets are $7.

Trangie, September 6.
Discover how to use the library website, Trove and Ancestry to find family and local history information online with Cataloguer Helen Thompson at the Trangie library. At the session people will also have the opportunity to contribute to the library's collection of local history photographs. Simply bring in an original photograph depicting people, places, and events to donate a digital copy. Morning tea provided. All welcome from 10.30-12.30pm.
- Cowboys take on CYMS in grand final:
Dubbo, September 8.
The Wellington community are encouraged to get down to Dubbo's Apex Oval on Sunday when the Cowboys take on the Dubbo CYMS in the Group 11 first grade grand final decider. Kick off is approximately 2pm.
- Spring flower show:
Narromine, September 6.
St Mary's Anglican Church Narromine will be holding their annual Spring Flower Show and luncheon. The annual event is on on Friday, September 6 2019 in the Parish Hall on Dandaloo Street.

Dubbo, September 7
