The sixth annual Arts and Sculpture Festival will bring all the wonder and creativity of the region's best, and undiscovered, artists to the Hermitage Hill once again to display some artistic marvels through the theme of Sound and Movement.
This year's event will also feature a special performance by nationally renowned chainsaw artist Rob Bast.

The Narromine Agricultural Show is back for the 114th year. This year promises to be a great day out for all ages.
The event caters to a wide variety of interests with events such as the Macquarie Valley Yard Dog Championships, cattle and sheep judging, show jumping and ring events and the impressive Pavilion where sections such as art and craft, photography, wool, cookery and much more is showcased.
Popular events such as the Smash Up Derby and the Fireworks are not to be missed. This year will also see the introduction of new events including the Prime Lamb Competition and the Tractor pull. The Show will be at the Narromine Showground, Dappo Road.

Geurie, August 31
The Geurie Lions Club will host a market day on August 31, with more than 70 stall holders in attendance.
The markets will be held at Wise Park and will commence approximately 8am. There will certainly be something for everyone including craft, cakes, coffee, antiques, jewellery and much more.

Dubbo, August 30 to September 1
CraftAlive is coming back to Dubbo this week for three days of creative fun.
The event begins on August 30 at the Dubbo Regional Centre and is set to draw craft-enthusiasts from across the region. The event opens from 9.30 am to 4pm daily and includes classes, the latest craft supplies and trends and advice from local and national craft experts.

- Tackling Men's Health:
Narromine, August 30 to 31
The Men's Heath Education Rural Van is set to be at the Narromine Showground from 8am to 5pm.
The caravan will be accompanied by a dedicated Registered Nurse who travels the state of New South Wales offering free health screenings to regional and rural men.
