Dubbo Regional Council Mayor Ben Shields and Dubbo MP Dugald Saunders officially opened the three projects on June 1, which include a play space at Walker Crescent Park, funded by Family and Community Housing.
The park received new play equipment, accessible path to the play space, solar lighting and an automatic underground irrigation system along with new turf to improve the overall area.
The project was funded by FACS to improve the liveability of social housing communities through the Social Housing Community Improvement Fund, with DRC contributing funds towards its development.
The Rygate park stage two redevelopment project was funded by NSW Government and Dubbo Regional Council.
The redevelopment includes six tennis courts, four netball courts, two basketball courts, half sized hockey field and 200 lux sporting lighting and a new amenities facility with officials room and four storage areas along with a crushed granite car park.
Finally the Pioneer Park lighting project was funded by NSW State Government, Dubbo Regional Sports Council and Wellington Warriors football club.
DRC installed four light poles with 20 energy efficient 200lux LED fittings at Pioneer Park to allow for night training and the opportunity to host night games for local sporting groups in the future.
The cost to run the new sports lights is approximately a third of the cost of the current systems around the region.

The project is a result of receiving $220,000 from the State Government's Stronger Community (Major Projects) fund along with the Wellington Soccer Association receiving a community grant of $5000 from The Stronger Communities (Community) fund.
"I'm very excited to be unveiling the latest projects that have been completed, particularly because they will improve the recreational opportunities for so many residents in the town," Clr Shields said.
Mr Saunders said he was happy to see the projects completed for the community.
"Wellington has been long overdue for some investment in the recreational space, I am pleased the State Government has been able to work with Council to provide such outstanding improvements for the town," he said.
