"This morning the Nationals' member for Calare was going tit-for-tat with Labor over proposed changes to superannuation." Said Mr Romano.
"Let's not forget this National Liberal Government themselves made changes to superannuation just a few years ago, so this finger pointing is quite hypocritical of the current Member for Calare."
"My advice to both the Government and Opposition is to leave the super of our hard working Aussies alone."
Mr Romano, who was previously a councillor in Orange, was in Wellington visit local businesses.

"Yesterday I visited Wellington and met with many local business owners, and I was hearing firsthand the challenges they're facing," Mr Romano said.
"One small business owner said he had to pay $700 a quarter just to have power connected and was struggling to sell enough produce to make ends meet."
"He has had to cut his business to the bone to retain staff, keep his doors open and providing produce to his community."
"As a small business owner myself, I understand the challenges they are facing. The Government are not providing enough support to small business."
"The drought continues and is having an impact on business in our rural and regional townships. Small business is essential to our local economies, providing employment and supporting the people who live there."
"We are seeing more and more empty shopfronts in our country towns, and this Government needs to act now. Ghost towns are what we can realistically expect if this city-centric National Liberal Government continues on its path of neglecting small business and regional communities." Mr Romano said.
Andrew Gee MP responded by calling on the former councillor to apologise for his comments about Wellington.
"It's very concerning that Mr Romano visits Wellington for the very first time and then starts suggesting it's a "ghost town"," Mr Gee said.
"He should apologise to the Wellington community and stop talking down a town he claims he wants to represent."
"He is running a hollow campaign based on lies, insults and nastiness."
Mr Gee said that he would 'gladly' stand by his record of delivering for the Wellington district and pointed to the funding of Maranatha's intergenerational childcare, upgrades to Kennard park and other projects as examples of his success.
"We've already delivered tax cuts to small business, increased the instant asset write-off, boosted apprenticeships and made finance for small businesses cheaper and easier to get. The Shooters just offer nastiness."
