The Boot Race itself will run all weekends on April 6 - 7, with the Wellington Boot Showcase race and Fashion on the Fields competitions taking place on Sunday.
This year the usual competitions will be complemented by a Wellington Boot art competition, with the designs displayed during the Wellington Boot Calcutta night at the Soldier's Memorial Club.
Getting to the Wellington Boot can be tricky because of the limited parking available close to the racecourse, so people should plan ahead and either prepare for a walk or use public transport.
Visitors coming from Dubbo or Stuart Town will be able to make use of the Lachlan Valley vintage train service which will be making trips to the racecourse during the day.
People can once again travel onboard a 4716 class diesel locomotive that will ferry passengers from Dubbo to Wellington from 10am and then from Stuart Town to Wellington at 11.15am. The train will depart from Wellington to Dubbo at 7.30 and then transport passengers from Wellington to Stuart Town at 8.45.
The Fashions on the Fields competition will commence with the first batch of entrants after Race 2 which will include the Juniors best dressed under 12s category, the best dressed teen filly and the best dressed Men.
Check out last year's entrants here.
Following Race 3, the floor will open to the best dressed lady aged 18 - 35 and the best dressed lady aged over 35.
