Your age and experience in politics: I am 41 years old. I ran for election in Northern NSW as an independent a number of years ago. Since then I have decided to join the Flux Political Party as they represent what I did as an independent: The right for registered voters to have their own say on all decisions going before parliament.

Profession outside of politics: I am a Social Worker and run my own business in Mudgee. I provide counseling to children and adults who have experienced trauma, are struggling with depression and anxiety or just having a tough time in their life.
Why are you running for the seat of Dubbo? I live and work in the seat of Dubbo. Many of my family and friends live in the seat of Dubbo and the people that I work with as a Social Worker also live in the Dubbo State Electorate. I care about this community and I believe that they have a right to choose their own future.
Why should people vote for the party you stand for? A vote for the Flux party is a vote for oneself, Flux is the only party that will allow voters to have a say over all of the decisions that go before government all of the time and votes in accordance with the wishes of the population.
What are the top three issues in the electorate? The people of Dubbo need transparency and honesty from politicians (no back room deals, support for financial backers of their electorate or voting with the party line against their constituents expressed wishes). The people of Dubbo need a political party that puts people at the centre of decision-making. They need politicians who will always consult on how they should vote and then vote to represent the people. The people of Dubbo need to see progress in politics. We need to see an evolution of fulfillment of values. We can now use technology to make things better and allow many more people to have a say on decisions with much quicker response times.
Why should people vote for you? People should not vote for me, they should vote for themselves and for Flux. Flux is the party that knows that we now have the knowledge and technology to vote on our own behalf - all of the time. As a representative of Flux I have given my word that I will vote in line with the will of the people and I am a person of integrity.

How do you propose to bring more jobs to the electorate? Across Australia voters are now realising that you need to vote for a minor party or an independent to bring more attention to and resources into your area. A vote for Flux is a vote for a minor party. Flux is the only minor party or independent committed to delivering ongoing consultation about where decision and resources are best placed for the benefit of the Electorate. Flux is the only party promising to always vote in line with the electorate’s wishes.
What is your stance on renewable energy? Our community have diverse experiences and thoughts about renewable energy. We have people who work in coal mines, solar and wind farms. We have people who manage farmland in drought and on the edge of mines and renewable projects. Dubbo has many people passionate about protecting the environment and many who struggle to pay their energy bills. The people of Dubbo work and live well together despite the different stances they may have on renewable energy. Flux’s policy and processes enables this community to have the power to work out their own stance on renewable energy.
What do you feel is the biggest issue affecting people in your electorate? Each person in the Dubbo Electorate has different issues that are affecting them. Behind every issue is a larger problem: they seem powerless to make an impact on the issues that matter to them. The people of Dubbo need to see progress in politics. We need the democracy to evolve to work in this current age. We can now use technology to make things better, we can allow many more people to have a say on decisions, we have better access to good information on a topic and much quicker response times using technology.
How do you propose to help with this should you be elected? Flux is the only party standing in the Dubbo electorate that has made a promise to vote with the people on every issue. We have the technology and the will to do this safely, securely, transparently and quickly. Think about it, have you ever had another politician contact you on a regular basis to ask you how they should vote?
Where do you stand on the second bridge / ring road for Dubbo? The Dubbo Regional Council Survey had a response of 2503 people. This alone shows that the public and that they would like to have a say on decisions of government. Flux is solely running to support voters to be able to have their say on all matters. With a 93% support rate for a ring road around the city it would be very straightforward for Flux to put this proposal up to State Government while quickly completing a final survey of all of the electorate to ensure that they still supported this project.
What is your stance on a drug court for Dubbo? In 2015 over 6000 people signed a petition calling for a drug court in Dubbo. The public want to have a say on political matters. In 2018 Troy Grant ran a survey to see how the people of Dubbo felt about Drug Courts. I have never seen the results of this survey but assume the response showed support for a Drug Court as the candidate for the National Party is supporting a Drug Court now. Flux will have technology in place to allow the population to be surveyed much more quickly and to make action happen in far less time.
What is your favourite book/hobby/activity? I love walking my dog, gardening, travelling with my family and playing the piano. I read a variety of books, usually inspiring biographies or psychology. When I am tired of a night watching movies, eating chocolate always does the trick.
