The ballot draw for the election on Saturday, March 23 was held on Thursday.
Election manager Paul Schenk placed each name into the ballot box in the order they had registered as candidates.

The names were all put into individual, secured containers, before being sealed into the ballot box and given a good shake.
Rod Pryor's name was drawn first, second was Independent Mathew Dickerson, followed by Shooters, Fishers and Farmers candidate Lara Quealy, The Nationals' Dugald Saunders, Country Labor candidate Stephen Lawrence, Joanne Coterill from Flux and Australian Conservatives (NSW) candidate April Salter.
Mr Pryor, Ms Coterill and Ms Salter were not present at the draw.
Early voting will start on March 11 and run to March 22 with the exception of Sunday, March 17. The early voting centre is at 70 Talbragar Street, opposite the Castlereagh Hotel.
