Wellington citizens will be able to nominate their choices for each of the seven award categories in the 2019 Australia Day awards until Monday January 14.
Those looking to nominate someone for an award can do so online, or in person at either of the Dubbo Regional Council Civic Administration Buildings in Dubbo and Wellington, the Macquarie Regional Library, Western Plains Cultural Centre or the Dubbo Neighbourhood Centre.
Full programs are also available at those locations for people looking to attend the Australia day events in Dubbo or Wellington.

Councillor and Mayor Ben Shields described the awards as Council’s ‘most esteemed’ awards program and encouraged people to nominate other citizens.
“A vibrant community relies on the dedication of volunteers who continuously go above what is expected of them in the interests of making the community a better place. There are also people in our region performing at elite levels in their chosen field who deserve to be acknowledged by their community,” Cr Shields said.
“The application process is straightforward and I encourage all residents to nominate someone they believe deserves this recognition.”
Categories include Citizen, Young Citizen and Senior Citizen of the year, Sportsperson and Junior Sportsperson of the year, the Community Service and Achievement award and the Community Event of the Year award.
Nominees for the awards must live within the Dubbo Regional City Council’s limits and they must be Australian citizens.
The awards will be presented in Cameron Park on Saturday January 26.
