THE big day is here, years of study has culminated in one final score, but we’re wondering – is your HSC mark and ATAR rank all it’s cracked up to be?

On Thursday, almost 70,000 NSW students received their HSC results and, just one day later, some 55,000 of them received an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR).

In the lead-up to the results being released, we asked some  high-achieving individuals, who have been out of school for more than a few years, what they thought about these all-important HSC and ATAR marks.

These people come from all industry sectors across the Central West and they have a few things in common.
