Wellington's Swift Street Medical staff recognised at industry awards

Suzanne Towney was recognised for her efforts as the Practice Manager at Swift Street Medical Centre which sits at 53 Swift Street, taking home the GP Synergy Practice Manager of the Year award for Western NSW.

The award was handed out at GP Synergy’s Seasonal Celebration and Awards night.

Practice Managers such as Ms Towney are responsible for overseeing the day to day running of a practice, and often are responsible for crucial tasks such as human resources management and personnel training.

“The role of practice managers, in practices maintaining their training accreditation and in supporting the training of GP registrars, is immensely important,” CEO of GP Synergy John Oldfield said. 

Ms Towney herself was overjoyed to have received the recognition of her efforts. 

“I’m very excited and humbled to have received this award,” Ms Towney said.
