The Country Women’s Association (CWA) of NSW Disaster Relief Fund received $15,000 to help drought-affected farmers and their families from bearing and power transmission suppliers CBC, BSC and WebsterBSC.
CBC Dubbo branch manager Chris Anderson met with the CWA NSW Macquarie group on October 26 and said he was very proud to be able to present the cheque.
Macquarie group president Karen McHale said the disaster fund is ongoing, so if anything should happen to rural communities, they have the means to help immediately.
“And the $15,000 will go a long way in helping more families,” she said.
Out of all the drought relief organisations, CBC chose the CWA because of the fact they have a straight forward process to get funds directly to affected families.
