The money will be used to improve WATS Place he said, including installing new heating.
“It’s been needed for some time. We put up with some very, very little old heaters,” Mr Grimes said.
“It’ll make a huge difference when we’re rehearsing through winter, and of course to the ladies who do the costume hire there every weekend.”
Money will also go towards display cases for the archives and for the sets and costumes for the 2019 production.
Wellington Warriors Football Club received the highest funding at $4800. It will be used to purchase a community sporting groups barbecue trailer for Wellington sports clubs to easily cook barbecues at events.
The money for the Burrendong Botanic Garden and Arboretum will go towards re-covering the nursery. It was last re-covered ten years ago.
The new shade cloth will aid in the increase of propagation numbers as the nursery will be divided into sections using different shade strengths for different stages of the plant development.
The $3000 for the Wellington Arts Centre will allow 30 students attend a lantern making workshop in Dubbo, as well as for additional lanterns and umbrellas which will be used to decorate the laneway.
