Wednesday Bowling
Twelve bowlers participated in last Wednesdays Jackpot Bowls. Winners on the day were Frank Gersbach and Ron Oxenham who defeated Norm Johnston and Scott Reid 19-9 (15 points).
Runners up were Garth Watts and Ian Humphries who defeated Graham Cope and Jason Cornish 17 – 15 (14 Points).
Other results Dave Wilson and Bill Meharg defeated Tony Cowan and Ray Gersbach 18 – 13 (13 points).
The Jackpot was won by Dave Wilson and Bill Meharg. Jason Cornish won the Raffle. Tony Cowan won a Hair Cut from Michael Smith with a Rester. Wednesday competition fees are $12.

Wellington Darts played Round 4 of it's Winter competition last Monday night at the Wellington Soldiers Memorial Club.
Allan Brown will not let the belt go at any cost with a victory over Robert Driscoll last week.
Sharks who are cruising along at the moment were taking on Odd One's Out who have drawn there first three match's, could they break through for there first win or not, and it was not with the Sharks winning by six legs to nil. Doubles results, Zac West-Alf Wilson defeated Cindy Croker-Robert Driscoll and Allan Brown-Garth Watts defeated Christian Bramford-Helen Jeff's, Singles results, Alf Wilson defeated Helen Jeff's, Jason Robbins defeated Cindy Croker, Allan Brown defeated Robert Driscoll, Garth Watts defeated Ken Fairley.
Were Here were taking on Him'N'Hers with both teams looking for there first win so who would break the duck and it was Were Here by four legs to two.
Doubles results, Parish Petrovic-Peter Baker lost to Wendy Wilson-Jason Cornish and Tracey Reid-Carolyn Stace defeated Kirsty-Hayley Watts. Singles results, Tracey Reid defeated Wendy Wilson, Parish Petrovic defeated Hayley Watts, Peter Baker lost to Jason Cornish, Scott Reid defeated Kirsty Watts.
The BDDP came into this match under the leadership if there new skipper Hayley Watts and they came up against Soldiers who came into the match one player short making it a bit easier for BDDP, final result saw BDDP win by five legs to one.
Doubles results Carl Ludwig-Doreen Saunders defeat Teena Hill-James Smith and Kevin Baker-David Wilson defeated Richard Kent. Singles results, Carl Ludwig lost to Richard Kent, Doreen Saunders defeated James Smith, Kevin Baker defeated Teena Hill, David Wilson won on forfiet.

Racing
The big crowds of past years were eclipsed on Saturday by the massive turnout at the iconic Louth races held at the small village between Bourke and Cobar.
To thunderous applause the Rodney Robb, Nyngan trained Rusty Motorbike ridden by Parkes jockey Michael Hackett gained a photo finish decision in the $24,000 Landmark- Dermot Murray Memorial Louth Cup ( 2000 metres ) after an exciting battle with the topweight Zartini over the concluding stages.
Given a good run in fifth position by Hackett, the nine year old Rusty Motorbike ( $4 ) hit the lead in the straight and prevailed by a short half head over the Mark Ward, Condobolin trained Zartini ( Tony Cavallo, $5 ) with Collins Street ( Richard Bensley, $7 ) from the Craig Tyack stables at Tullibigeal, a length and a half away third.
Rusty Motorbike won the Louth Cup in 2016 and overall has won three times at the track.
