Trade young cattle rose eight cents, the better quality feeder cattle gained ten cents however the plainer types and crossbreds lost 15 cents.
Feeder steers sold from 255 to 320 cents while feeder heifers ranged from 210 to 284 cents, restocker young cattle were firm to dearer with young steers making from 210 to 333 cents and young heifers 180 to 300 cents, heavy steers improved seven cents, heavy heifers were firm, plain cows rose ten to 15 cents, properly finished cows gained 3 cents.

The bulk of the weaners lacked quality and condition, steer weaners fell $60 quality was a factor, steer weaners sold from $250 to $640 to Avg $405 or 200 cents per kg, weaner heifers $180 to $490 to Avg $383, one pen of steer yearlings made $660, yearling heifers traded from $300 to $475 to Avg $354.
At Dubbo on Monday 28,600 lambs penned in a mixed quality yarding with a fair selection of trade and heavy lambs along with light crossbreds and merinos.
Processor light lambs fell $3, trade lambs rose $5 to $9, heavy lambs gained $7 to $10, merino lambs improved $4 to $7 with trade merinos ranging from $111 to $146, heavy merinos reached $165, feeder lambs sold from$94 to $128 and were firm, re-stocker lambs topped at $118. Hoggets made to $162.
Quotations Light lambs $40 to $112, medium lamb $105 to $152, heavy lamb $120 to $161, supermarket lamb $143 to $176, export lamb $175 to $215.
18,300 mutton penned in a plainer quality yarding with a much larger percentage of drought affected sheep, most grades gained $3 to $6.

Schute Bell reports that last weeks market was another solid one with the Eastern market indicator rising ten cents to 2021 and only six cents short of its all time high just two weeks ago.
There were falls in the finer market however gains in the medium and broader types. 19.5 to 23 micron closed the week in unchartered waters with very little difference in the prices of all there micron indicators.
27086 bales were sold for the week with a passed in rate of 3.5 per cent. The Northern region indicator closed at 2059 cents per Kg clean a rise of two cents.
