Wellington will host the first of the events, which are being facilitated by the Central Tablelands Local Land Services.
From 9.30am on May 30 landholders will converge on the Wellington Soldiers Memorial Club, with Local Land Services staff covering livestock feeding and management, quick to feed options, animal health, and available drought resources.
It is an interactive session, so farmers are encouraged to come with questions
Further sessions will be held at Bathurst Bulldogs Rugby Club, Nashdale Hall and Club Mudgee through the week.
Local representatives from the NSW Rural Assistance Authority, the Rural Financial Counselling Service, the NSW DPI Rural Resilience Program, and The Rural Adversity Mental Health Program will also be attending and are available for advice.
Currently, more than 97 per cent of NSW is categorised as either being in drought or approaching drought, and there is little on the way for farmers as far as precipitation is concerned.
Last week the NSW government announced Geurie’s Pip Job as its drought co-ordinator.
Ms Job is tasked with travelling the state and listening to the concerns of the wide array of farmers before reporting back to the government.
Most of regional NSW has reported little in the way of rainfall so far in 2017, with conditions becoming particularly dry through vast pockets of the central west region.
