A touching fairytale, My Fair Lady is the story of a bedraggled Covent Garden flower girl almost magically transformed into a ‘lady’.
The leading roles of Professor Higgins, capably played by Evan Frankham and Eliza Doolittle, beautifully portrayed by Gabrielle Magee are bound to woo the audience. Gabrielle is a talented new find for WATS. Strong supporting roles are played by Peter Barton as Alfred P. Doolittle and Peter Hofman as Colonel Pickering.
Musical numbers include Wouldn’t It Be Lovely and The Rain In Spain just to name a few.
The Ascot scene and the Embassy Ball allows WATS to parade it’s finest costumes.
Directors Noel Grimes and Kirsten Parkes have again produced a memorable show not to be missed. Bookings open Friday, May 18 at WATS Place, 31 Warne Street (next to Cactus Cafe). Monday to Friday – 10am to 4.30pm and Saturday – 10am to 12.30pm.
