The stunning victory went to Jespresso which earned the majority of votes in the Wellington Times’ online poll last week. The poll went live over five days, featured 11 of Wellington’s coffee providers and attracted 115 voters.
Jespresso ranked in at first place with 33 per cent of the votes to take a clear win and earn bragging rights of the Wellington Times’ “top drop” poll.
The team at Cookie’s Cafe were also a popular choice among voters to come in at second place with 23 per cent of votes.
Cactus Cafe wasn’t far behind in third with 16 per cent, followed by Cafe 2820 in fourth.
Jespresso owner, Jessica Gough, said she was thrilled with the results and looks forward to further educating the community on a high standard of coffee.
“Because I’ve only been here since May last year it’s nice to know I’m on the right track and the community is accepting me,” she said.
