Staggs will make an appearance off Brisbane’s extended bench when the Broncos take on Intrust Super Cup entity the Central Capras at the Central Queensland town of Theodore on Saturday night.
Wayne Bennett has named a very young side, with David Fiftia, Moses Pangai and Tom Opacic just a few of the players to boast NRL experience in Brisbane’s 21-man squad.
Clever halves Todd Murphy and Shaun Nona will lead the young side around the park.
Staggs, who starred with Wellington in the under 18s premiership win in 2016, was a feature in the Brisbane Holden Cup side last season and looks set to begin 2018 in the Intrust Super Cup after training strongly with Redcliffe.
Kurt Richards will coach the side for the trial match.
