Arts and Sculpture Festival coordinator, Lisa Thomas, said although Wellington is putting itself on the map through two growing events in the arts festival and Music In Between Festival, the committee is looking to broaden its potential.
“We don’t want to be limited in those activities and want the community to come on board with ideas and projects they’d like to see happening in the town,” she said. “We want to gather fresh ideas from the community.”
Lisa said the committee is seeking people interested in volunteering their time, energy and creativity to assist in the endeavor.
“We’d be grateful if people stuck their hand up to show they are on board in the smallest way,” she said.
“It’s a matter of sitting back and seeing where you can help, and we’d be ever so grateful to get as many people as we can to help with big tasks down to little tasks.
“It’s about committing where you can, bring your skills and your creative side to a meeting and if you can help in any way that’s great.”
The Annual General Meeting will be held on February 28 at CWA Hall from 6pm. For more information contact Lisa on 0439 259 522.
