Danielle Fogg, 17, currently resides in Tamworth and this year performed at the music festival for the third time. She was joined by fellow Wellington resident, Millie Mills, who performed in the Aboriginal Cultural Showcase.
It was a special moment for Danielle who attended the festival alongside her Aunty, Shannoah ‘Noah’ Overs, and was fortunate to share the stage with her parents, Anthony and Jelneetah Fogg.
“Attending the TCMF with Noah was special because not many people get the opportunity to sing with their family and sing very well with their family,” Danielle said. “Although Noah is my Aunty, we are much closer than that!”
But it was performing a song close to her heart which was the highlight for Danielle.
“’Nanima’ was written because four generations – including myself – have lived there,” she said.
“Four generations through both sides of my family.
“The song explains memories of childhood from all four generations,a nd that although we all gome and go, Nanima will always be the same.
“Performing my first ever written song live will be a moment in my life I will cherish as I allowed people to see my life and the lives of my family through a song.”
