The highlight event of January to March 1993 was hands-down the Boot Ball which sadly is a thing of the past.
But it goes without saying, the smiles on the faces of those pictured in this week’s gallery indicate it was a highlight of the year for many who travelled to the district for the event.
It comes as Wellington gears up for the 2018 Wellington Boot bound for Saturday, April 7. Will you be making tracks to one of the district’s favourite race days?
