Christmas Hours
The Library will be closed on December 25-26, December 30 and January 1. Normal opening hours apply every other day during this period.
However, access to reading material is still available with ebook and eaudio through the library website 24/7.
Holidays
There will be some fun activities in the library these holidays, so make sure you keep an eye on the library column, the Macquarie Regional Library website or check us out on Facebook. There will be golf, basketball, Tic Tac Toe, Lego challenges and games, a Code Club afternoon and some Robotics, where you will get to meet Ozobot and possibly Edison. The Library is the place to be in January.
What’s New
So many new items have arrived across all collections, just in time for the Christmas break.
The latest Diary of a Wimpy Kid – The Getaway, The Alien Zoo – And You, Fairy Unicorns, and Bad Dad are just a few available for the junior readers. It Started with Goodbye and Everybody Hurts are new ones for the 13+ age group. And they can all be counted in your Summer Reading Club log.
Harry Potter – A History of Magic: JK Rowling, Bloomsbury and the British Library joined together to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the publication of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. This book is the wonderful companion to that unique collaboration, filled with weird, wonderful and inspiring artefacts from the British Library archives and unseen treasures from JK Rowling’s personal collection.
