In recent years upward of 13 teams have registered for the summer twilight competition, and this year organisers hope to see that number increase in the competition's milestone year.
Committee member, Alistaire Thompson, said it is a great opportunity for players of all skill levels.
"Wellington Touch has been going for 45 years now so let's try and make the future strong for Wellington Touch," Thompson said.
"This year by lowering the age we not only would like this to help encourage the juniors but their parents and family to hopefully all come together in a fun social environment.
"So we have lowered the age to 10 to help develop our juniors and give them more game time as well as providing discounts for female participation and referees."
Organisers are encouraging the community to get involved in the competition which will commence on 25, October.
“Community support of competitions like this is vital to ensure they keep running in future, as well as to keep our town community strong and safe,” Thompson said.
Those interested are encouraged to get along to the final two registration days at Rygate oval today, October 11 and Wednesday, October 18 or contact the committee on the Wellington Touch Facebook page or Alistaire Thompson at St Mary's School 68451822.
