The afternoon activity will kick off on July 27 and is designed to build skills using religion.
Team member of Orana Cluster, Michael Hindle, said the program is an outreach from the church to share the Christian message while encouraging creativity and teamwork.
“There was a bit of a need for kids programs and an opportunity for children to hear the Christian message,” Michael said.
“We want to encourage families to bring their kids along.”
With the support of the church students will be challenged to use their imagination to become Lego builders using biblical stories and other sources of inspiration.
Afternoon tea and Lego are provided.
The program is limited to 30 participants and will commence at 3.30pm on Thursday, July 27 at a cost of $2. It will be held every Thursday afternoon at The Salvation Army Hall on the corner of Lee and Gisborne streets.
