School Captains Dylan White, Bronte Runciman and Vice-Captains Abigail Kiss and Alastair Hardwick were among the emerging generation of leaders attending the conference at Sydney’s International Convention Centre on Friday March 3.
The event attracted 4,500 students, teachers and principals from schools across the state.
It was hosted by Halogen Australia; a not-for-profit organisation aiming to inspire and empower young people to be active leaders in their schools and communities.
It's not about being perfect, it's about being yourself...
- Abigail Kiss
Along with hosts Scott Tweedie, of popular Channel 11 music show The Loop, and actress Gemma Knight, other renowned leadership role models from diverse fields shared their stories and leadership insights.
Bronte said they learnt that being brave is better than being perfect.
“We will use this knowledge in the future by sharing it with others."
Abigail said she also learnt some very important lessons to take forward.
“It's not about being perfect, it's about being yourself and being brave. I will use these in the future by sharing."
