The event saw many residents come to celebrate and learn more about the products.

LoveMerino co-founder Pip Smith said she was overwhelmed by the number of people who took time to come and support them. 

“The cafe looked beautiful and everyone was in great spirits,” Ms Smith said.

After a two-year journey, Ms Smith said they are now planning for the future. “We’d love to open a headquarters in Wellington and employ locals.”

Ms Smith said there are plans to expand the range beyond scarves. 

“We may also try and get a local artist to design the next range using Wellington as their inspiration.”
