There were croquet games, high tea, six old cars, 1920s clothing, a timeline of the club’s history and music from the Dubbo City Jazz Band.
Dubbo Croquet Club president Peter Heywood said close to 100 people attended the weekend’s events, more than they had anticipated.
“We were doing things like hitting the ball through hoops, making it jump, one-handed croquet. All different stuff but using croquet skills,” Mr Heywood said.
Visitors from Wellington and the Hazelbrook Croquet Club joined in the festivities.
There was just so much going on it didn’t matter where you turned. It was amazing.

“Everybody was just so overwhelmed. There was just so much going on it didn’t matter where you turned. It was amazing,” Mr Heywood said.
The 95th anniversary celebrations were finished with a competitive croquet game on Sunday, which unfortunately was cut short due to the rain.
“People kept asking ‘why didn’t you wait until 100?’, but we might not be here for the 100,” he said.
