A 27-YEAR-OLD Wellington man has been arrested and charged with a number of break and enter offences involving the stealing of firearms.

Between Monday 11 July 2016 and Sunday 17 July 2016, a home on Warne Street, Wellington, was broken into.
Three firearms including a Cooey single-barrel 12-gauge shot-gun, a Winchester.22 rifle and a Sureshot.22 rifle were stolen from the safe. Associated bolts/parts and a quantity of ammunition were also stolen.
Officers from Orana Local Are Command attended and commenced an investigation.
Detectives from the Orana area attended a housee in Parkes Street about 3pm on Monday where the man was located.
He was taken to Wellington Police Station where he was charged with break enter and steal value less than $60,000.
He was further charged with unrelated steal from motor vehicle, and goods in custody offences.
The man was refused bail and will appear at Dubbo Local Court on Tuesday.
In the second matter general duties police, assisted by the dog squad officer, arrest a 35-year-old Dubbo man after police stopped a car in the Dubbo CBD area in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
The man has been wanted for some time and had three warrants outstanding as well as a long history of domestic violence offences.
He was refused bail and will appear before Dubbo Local Court on Tuesday.
