. NSW SES urges motorists to take extreme care as there is water flowing across causeways and some local roads. Motorists are advised not to drive through floodwater as floodwaters may be deep and fast flowing and contain hidden snags and debris.
People living, working or camping along the Macquarie River should continue to monitor river heights. Farmers and landholders along the Macquarie Rivers are advised to relocate livestock, pumps and machinery to higher ground. Waste and chemical containers should be located well above predicted flood levels.
Farmers are advised to contact their local LLS Ranger or Industry and Investment NSW for assistance. If isolation is expected to occur due to floodwaters or impassable roads, people are advised to stock up now on food, fuel, medicines and other essential items. Don’t forget your pets and working animals.
Predicted River Heights/Flows: Warren Town – peak near minor flood level (7.5metres) on Saturday morning [25/06/2016] Water levels will see many local roads inundated, including Wambianna Rd with fast flowing water across the roadway from the Reddenville Break. Alternative routes are available via Oxley Hwy and Mitchell Hwy.
The Bell River at Neurea peaked at 3.05 metres at 1:00 am on Thursday . At Wellington it is estimated that the Bell River peaked near minor flood level (3.4 metres) earlier. Further Rainfall is forecast for , which may result in renewed river level rises.
