“There are a number of players from Lithgow, Bathurst, Dubbo, Forbes, Parkes, Orange and further west here trialling,” he said, as he and selectors watched the players go through their paces at Kennard Park in Wellington.
“There are some good footballers, numbers aren’t brilliant but quality is very high.”
The selectors will name a squad shortly for the representative season.
