Game times have been adjusted to allow kids playing in Dubbo District Competition to also play in their local games.
Bring a shirt to wear home as team shirts need to be returned.
In the Under 10s we've got Sprinters playing the Red Devils. Sprinters come into the match as favourites but Red Devils are a strong team and will give it everything. It should be a great game.
In Under 12/13s the Smurfs caused an upset last week to sneak past Emoji Masters and into the grand final against Grass Burners.
Smurfs have saved their best for the important part of the season, but they'll need to be on their game to roll the strong Grass Burners team.
In Opens the Hot Heads also caused an upset by defeating Shots-On and grabbing the spot in the grand final against Mariners.
Hot Heads are on a roll, but they'll need to be at their best to beat an ever consistent Mariners' side.
Dubbo District Junior Competition is at elimination finals stage and Wellington has both under 13 and under 15 teams competing in these games for a spot in their respective grand finals.
Under 13s will be played at Dubbo's Lady Cutler Oval (field 3) against Westside Panthers at 10.30am.
Under 15s will be a home game at Pioneer Park against SDW Force at 12.15pm.
Wellington senior teams are playing grand finals this Sunday. In the Open women's Wellington plays Dubbo 78s at 9am and All Age Men's sees Wellington playing North West Falcons at 1pm.
Both these matches will be played in Dubbo at Lady Cutler oval.
Good luck to all our Wellington teams.
Mudgee Carnival
Wellington entered four teams. All had a great day playing soccer with their friends.
Under 8/9s ran hard all day playing a lot of soccer and only experiencing one loss. They played very well together.
Under 10/11s tried very hard with a team that was predominately younger than their opposition but that did not phase them, giving it their all in every game.
Thanks to Kahla for running the team and to Ed for refereeing.
Under 12/13s did it quite tough having no reserves to assist off the bench, but this didn't affect their spirit, giving it their best all day.
Thanks to Scott for managing the side and to Marcus for refereeing.
Under 15s were our most successful team finishing overall winners of the under 16 age division.
These boys went home very happy with their day's soccer. Congratulations boys, well played. Thanks to Damien for so successfully managing this side.
Canteen this week is under 12/13 parents:
11.45am: Loren Douglas, Kelly Gibson, 12.45pm: Karen Thompson, Shani Parkes.

Best game ever by Orange Phoenix.

Hotheads had the upset of the opens so far with a win over Shots-On 3-0 placing them in the grand final next week.
Warriors (Dubbo District Competition)
Under 11s
Last game for the season and suffered a loss at the hands of the SDW Leopards.
Despite the result, the team has come a long way this season having to rebuild with a lot of new younger players. Their team game has really improved.

Thanks must go to Brett and Nick Trappett for conducting the training sessions each Tuesday and to Eddie Owens for running the side on Saturdays. A really good season!
Under 13s
Wellington edged out SASS Meteors 1-0 in a very tight match. A pre-match pep talk from coach Chris Redfern saw the Warriors come out wanting to win.
The game see-sawed back and forth with shots on goal at both ends of the park, but Wellington snatched the advantage knocking one in before the half-time break. CJ Wheatly, Nick Redfern, Dan Maclure and Jack Jones were inspirational. Will Eather and Jacky Ryan Angus and Paul Maclure controlled the middle of the park and Will Eather helping the forwards and backs. He was everywhere. In the second half Wellington come out more slowly, almost conceding an equaliser. The two Geargias (Eagleston and Stanley) with Jake Veach and Beck Dutfield had a lot of attacks to fend off, but help came from Hewy and Isack. Brad O'Brien was excellent in goal diving for every ball even if he didn't have to. Man of the match went to Will Eather.
Under 13s move through to the elimination final this Saturday in Dubbo at 10.30am. Go Warriors!
Under 15s
Warriors 15s opened a 2-0 lead in their major semi-final game against SASS Strikers and looked set to go straight through to the grand final, but a lax start to the second half saw Strikers claw their way back into the match and lock it up 2-2 at full-time. Extra time could not separate the teams so a penalty shootout was needed to decide the outcome. SASS snuck through by two goals in the shootout. Will Edwards and Sean Behsman shared the Golden Boot this week for their brilliant defence and counterattack.
Under 15s now play SDW Force in the elimination final this Saturday 12.15pm at home. It was great to see so much local support at the game last week, let's get out and do it again this week. Go Wello!
Seniors
Wellington Women defeated Dubbo FC in the elimination final by penalty shootout, when the game was locked up 2-2 after normal play and the two periods of extra time. Wellington lead 2-0, only to have the Dubbo team claw their way back in the second half to lock the game up. Big Mumma played her best game of the season and Rhianna Sutherland was brilliant in goal.
Wellington now gets a chance to redeem its semi-final loss to Dubbo 78s when they meet them again in the grand final this weekend.
All Age Men convincingly defeated Macquarie United in their elimination final by 4-1. Wellington now move through to the grand final against North West Falcons at Dubbo at 1pm.
