Police expect to charge a man questioned over the disappearance of toddler William Tyrrell with involvement in a paedophile ring and a number of further child sex offences interstate, according to court documents.

Whitegoods repairman Bill Spedding, 63, was refused bail before Port Macquarie local court on Thursday after police charged him with seven historical child abuse offences.
Documents tendered to court reveal that Victorian police are also pursuing an investigation into Mr Spedding's alleged involvement in a ring that uses children for sexual gratification.
"There is evidence of other adult offenders who are complicit in similar child sex offences both independently and in conjunction with the accused in this matter," the police fact sheet states.
"Investigations are continuing concerning such matters and it is anticipated further charges will brought against the accused in the foreseeable future."
Detective Inspector Gary Jubelin stressed on Thursday that Mr Spedding's arrest and subsequent charges had nothing to do with William Tyrrell's disappearance.
Mr Spedding's lawyer Robert Hoyles told the courtroom his client would deny the charges "until his final breath" and that these were allegations that had been dealt with almost 30 years ago.
"One might say Mr Spedding will deny these allegations until his final breath," Mr Hoyles said.
"He denied these allegations as I understand it, when police put them to him in 1987 and for whatever reason the prosecution decided not to prosecute (at that time)," Mr Hoyles said.
Mr Spedding smiled at his wife Margaret and the pair put their hands against both sides of the glass around the court dock after he learned he was refused bail.
Rodney Spedding said he was "devastated" his father had been refused bail and told Fairfax Media Mr Spedding "has never done anything wrong in his life".
The charges laid against Mr Spedding are the result of a homicide investigation into the suspected abduction of William Tyrrell who disappeared from his grandmother's Kendall home on September 12 last year.
Detectives started investigating the businessman's history and have recently obtained a number of witness statements alleging that he sexually abused two girls, aged three and six, in 1987.
Police will allege the victims were assaulted in a caravan alongside a Campbelltown property owned by one of Mr Spedding's friends.
Mr Spedding's lawyer said his client was of good character, had no criminal history and had been caught up in the William Tyrrell investigation.
"For a man who has no prior criminal record Mr Spedding had been caught up in a whirlwind of a criminal investigation," Mr Hoyles said.
Court documents state medical examinations of a three-year-old girl and a six-year-old girl concluded they had injuries consistent with penetration.
The grandmother and mother of the alleged victim told police they remembered the three-year-old complaining of soreness and saying: "Bill did it."
Police said charges were not pursued at that time "due to concerns of the welfare of the victims given their tender age".
Mr Spedding screamed out "No" when he was arrested at his Bonny Hills on the state's Mid North Coast on Wednesday.
His arrest came after police raided his home and Laurieton office in January during thier investigation into William Tyrrell's suspected abduction. He has repeatedly denied any involvement in the toddler's disappearance.
He spent Wednesday night in the cells at Port Macquarie police station and declined to take part in a formal interview.
Police argued the accused should not be granted bail because one of his alleged victims said she had felt pressured by him in recent months to make a statement about his good character.
Mr Spedding applied for bail on Thursday but it was refused by Magistrate Thomas Hodgson.
He will next appear in court on June 18.
