The John Deere Ride-on Lawn Mower which has been kindly donated to the Wellington Golf Club is now being raffled and will go to one lucky winner. Tickets are really selling quickly and you can purchase a ticket for just $5 at the Wellington Golf Club or there are plenty of golf club members around town selling tickets with this great prize to be drawn on the June Long Weekend.
The 18 hole Federal Hotel Wellington Golf Club Amateur Open will see A, B and C Grades being played this Sunday with Stroke and Stableford events to be played on the day and all it only costs $40 to play on the day and there are plenty of great prizes up for grabs for the lucky winners of the many events on the day. A signup sheet is available now with tee off times being 8am to 10am with lunch included in the price for the days golf; just ring the Wellington Golf Club to grab a starting time.
The G.S.O.H are going on a golf trip to Narromine Golf Club on the 26th of April, if any golfer would like to go on this trip please just inform John Gersbach and if you require any more information John will assist you in that as well.
Al`s Men`s Thursday and Ladies Sunday golf competitions have come to an end and now it`s time for all the winners to collect there prizes which will be on the 29th of May at the Wellington Golf Club commencing at about 6.30pm, so get your money in and please let Al now your shirt size if you think you may have won a shirt.

Previous Saturday’s results with a 2 Person Ambrose being played saw David Naveau and Luke Milgate claim victory with a 64nett just beating Clint Ridley and Lewis Payne who finished with a 661/4nett.
This Saturday’s event is a 2 Person Ambrose with the wellington Golf Club sponsoring the day.

McCarthy-Staggs Tiling nearest the pin in 2 shots on the 15th hole went to David Naveau.
McDonalds Biggest Whack winner in A Grade was Lewis Payne and in B Grade it was Luke Milgate.
Brent`s N.F.I award winners were the Kevin’s, that`s Reid and Whale and they will probably never play together again after the terrible day they had.

Last Saturday saw the April Monthly Medal being played in A and B Grades with the Wellington Soldiers Memorial Club kindly sponsoring the day also played on the day was round 5 of the Wellington Soldiers Memorial Club Pointscore Trophy plus round 5 of the John Gersbach Putting Competition.
A Grade Monthly Medal winner last Saturday was Josh Bullock who had the round of golf of his life time with a 2 under par, 70 off the stick which equated to a 61nett, great round Josh.
A Grade runner up on a count back was Garth Watts who finished with a 70nett.
B Grade Monthly Medal winner was Peter Cornish who put together a great round of golf himself to finish with a 66nett.
B Grade runner up was Peter Payne who finished with a 68nett.

A special mention to Jim Armstrong who somehow left a 2 inch putt short of the hole, and yes this is a true story as he did protest his innocence.
